An essential ingredient in most Japanese and Asian cuisines, black sesame paste or “neri goma'' is a thick black paste that tastes like roasted nuts with deep earthy undertones. Usually used as a filling for pastries and baked goods, it is sweetened with sugar or honey and is a popular item across Asian bakeries. In this plant-based recipe, we marinate tofu steaks in our Black Sesame + Timur Pepper Stir Fry Sauce sauce to create a juicy steak with unique flavours!
Chef’s note:
To enjoy extra flavourful steaks, leave them to marinate in the fridge overnight and start cooking the night before your steak party.
